CompreXX mark4 uses plug-ins to (de)compress archives. This provides great flexibility and extensibility when adding support for more archive types in the future. For instance, if a new archive type is invented, all you would have to do for working with that archive type would be to install the plug-in for that archive type!
CompreXX mark4 currently ships with five plug-ins supporting all archive types available today. Each plug-in has its own custom properties and settings for the archive types it supports.
