Cut SFX

Sometimes archives are found in executable form, as .EXE application files which you can directly run to extract the contents of the archive without using additional tools. While this is convenient for most cases, sometimes you may wish to be able to work directly with the archive itself, and not the self-extracting form. The Cut SFX tool helps you convert self-extracting archives to regular archives which you can open and edit.

To use Cut SFX:

1. Run the Cut SFX tool using the Start menu.

2. Click the Browse button, and select which self-extracting archive to convert.

3. Click the Save As button, and select the output archive name.

4. Click OK to convert the self-extracting archive to a regular archive.

• Some archive types may not be supported by Cut SFX. Cut SFX operates independently of the plug-ins installed on your system.
